I’ve finally decided my pre-this blog just had entirely too much baggage. It was my blog through many past me’s. And I’m over it.

I needed a clean sheet of paper.

So here I am. I have no idea how this will turn out. If I had’ve had any idea how things would turn out when I started blogging 5 years ago, I would’ve slapped your face and called you a liar. Isn’t that the way it always is?

So here I am. I’m Alisha. Mandy is my partner, in life, in love, in hijinks galore. I am an Emergency Medicine Nurse, in love with a paramedic…who also happens to be a paraplegic. We are in the early days of baby-makin’. Early as in our first consultation was a month ago. ***update:: make that a year ago…send over the babydust***

We have parents, sisters, best friends, not so best friends, grandparents, jobs, aspirations, arguments, physical challenges, mental challenges, sleepless nights and sleep in mornings…all those moments that everyone has that makes them unique and human. I’m a writer…journals, lists, blogs, FB, love notes, thank you notes, birthday cards…and I’d be lying if I said this blog wasn’t more for me to get the words out as it is for you to read them.

But…I do hope you read them.
